resources

supportThe Centers for Quality Teaching and Learning provides initial training for teachers implementing Computer Engineering or Networking programs. That training is the first step into a system designed to provide plentiful resources and ongoing support.

Teachers who are actively participating in QTL's IT programs are entitled to the following benefits:

  • UPDATED FOR 2006-07 - Updated Curriculum Materials - Updated and expanded resources are delivered on CD each summer to QTL-trained teachers at schools that renew their participation for the following school year;
  • IMPROVED FOR 2006-07 - Teacher Central and the QTL Professional Learning Community Site - Share resources, or download materials submitted by other participating teachers, at the official web site for QTL teachers;
  • NEW FOR 2006-07 - Online Teaching Tools - Participating teachers are subscribed to the very active QTL IT-teachers listserv, where they can post anything from technical questions to classroom management issues - or answer postings from other teachers in the program;
  • Regional Facilitators - Lead teachers coordinate ongoing support and occasional workshops for their peers within an assigned region;
  • Free Workshops - Facilitators and other leading teachers provide periodic workshops in various locations, offering technical training as well as opportunities to share experiences with others IT teachers;
  • Ongoing Communications - The Centers for Quality Teaching and Learning works to continue its support of participating teachers through electronic newsletters and other means of communication.

If you are a participating teacher but have not received updated curriculum or any of the other benefits listed above, contact us and we'll fix the problem!
